UNITED NATIONS FRAMEWORK CONVENTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE- CONFERENCE OF PARTIES
The UNFCCC established and international environmental treaty to combat "dangerous human interference with the climate system", in part by stabilising greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere. The ultimate goal of the agreements under UNFCCC is to stabilize greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere to such an extent that will prevent dangerous human interference with the climate system, in a time frame which allows ecosystems to adapt naturally and enables sustainable development.
