UNCSW

 A functional commission under the ECOSOC, UNCSW is a principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and empowerment of women. It is instrumental in promoting women’s rights, documenting the reality of women’s lives globally and shaping the standards on gender equality and women empowerment. The Commission adopts multi-year programmes of work to appraise progress and make recommendations to accelerate the implementation of the Platform for Action. It also contributes to the achievement of 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to accelerate the realization of global gender parity.
